Extra slow run along the extra crowded beach. Chicago has an air and water show every summer and people literally camp out along the lakeshore to picnic and take in the sights. There were planes dive bombing and swirling around as I was running which slowed me down considerably since I kept looking up at all the action. I’ll count this as my “recovery” run for the week :)

Just had the best run! My pace is coming back. I’m so proud that I was able to run 3.68 miles at 8:23 :) My fastest run in months!

I credit the fuel (i.e., food) and sleep I’ve been getting…which proves that if you take care of your body, it will take care of you.

Rewarding myself with a super food smoothie. Yay!!!

Run run run!

Run run run!

Fitspo. Maybe now that I’m in the midwest I can find a football field to sprint.

You guys, THIS was my view from my run this morning. Bea-u-ti-ful! The actually running part was not the best though. Probably because it’s been over a week since I’ve hit the pavement. I tried to push too hard and now my knee hurts :(

It’s been over a week since my last outdoor run but I’m planning to get back into a routine later this week.

Fit girl dilemma

To bike (yep, I got it!) or to run?

Yay, my run didn’t suck today! I did 4 miles running and 1 walking at about an 8:30-8:40 pace for the run. Also, Chicago is really flat and windy. A big change from the lightly breezy rolling hills that I am used to.
